Russians' trust in Putin reaches 73.3% in latest VTsIOM poll

Trust in President Vladimir Putin remains strong among Russians. A recent poll showed it at 73.3%. Conducted by All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM),survey polled 1,600 adults nationwide .

While 73.3% trust Putin,his approval rating as president stands at 67.7%. Russian government's performance gets 44% approval,while Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin scores slightly higher at 46%. Trust in Mishustin hits 56%.

Poll also measured sentiment towards leaders of various parliamentary parties. Gennady Zyuganov,Chairman of Communist Party of Russian Federation (KPRF), has trust level of 31.2%. Sergey Mironov,of "A Just Russia," follows with 27.1%, while Leonid Slutsky of Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) has 18.5%. Alexey Nechaev,"New People" party leader,received lowest trust rating at 8.6%.

Support for political parties mirrors this trend. United Russia leads with 35.5%,followed by KPRF at 10.9%,LDPR at 9.4%,"A Just Russia" at 5.8%,and "New People" at 9.8%. Numbers show current political climate in Russia… public opinion always a moving target.
