Yoga might soon be daily ritual in every Indian home, says P. Narayana,Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development . At mass Yoga event in Swatantra Park,Nellore,on Sunday, June 21, 2026,he shared vision of citizens embracing Yoga by choice, not government mandate . This gathering for International Day of Yoga 2026 showed global reach of this ancient practice.
Narayana praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for putting Yoga on world stage,practiced now in over 190 countries. He urged participants,including morning walkers,Karate students,to make Yoga part of daily routine,not just a yearly event.
Plans are in motion for large-scale Yoga push in every ward and village Secretariat, as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed. Urban development matters,he said,noting government hasn't just modernized parks but also hired Yoga trainers to boost citizens' wellbeing.
