Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed back in New Delhi Thursday after whirlwind tour of France and Slovakia. He attended G-7 Summit,held talks with global leaders. Visit showed India's growing clout as "trusted partner," he told Indian diaspora earlier.
Modi's trip started in Nice. Launched Bharat Innovates programme,then hit G-7 Summit in Evian . In Paris,he spoke at VivaTech 2026,met Indian community . On social media,he noted,"This visit to France has been extensive when it comes to engagement and outcomes."
Addressing Indian community, Modi hailed 1.4 billion Indians' achievements. Called it a big moment for India. "It’s always special to interact with the Indian diaspora and highlight the collective strides of 140 crore Indians," he said.
At G-7, Modi met leaders like U.S. President Donald Trump,UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer,and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Talked seafarers' safety with Trump,linked to Iran peace deal.
Modi's summit meetings aimed to boost India's global profile. He touted India's tech progress,noting half of world's digital transactions are Indian. Pushed for tech democratization,said AI must be "all inclusive" for India.
After France,Modi wrapped up "historic and productive" Slovakia visit. First Indian PM to go there. India,Slovakia upgraded ties to new partnership,inking 11 agreements on migration,digital tech,defense.
He thanked Slovakian government,people for warm welcome,saying,"The outcomes of this visit will go long way in strengthening bilateral ties between our nations . Stronger trade relations will greatly benefit our youth."
