The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has launched the option entry portal for students seeking admission to various professional courses, including engineering and veterinary studies,starting Saturday. Candidates can submit their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority until 10 a.m. on June 30.

KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna announced that mock seat allotment results will be revealed on July 6 at 11 a.m. Following that,students will have opportunity to modify their choices until July 9. The final seat allotment results are scheduled for publication on July 15 .

Students preparing for the NEET re-examination on Sunday have been advised to concentrate on their upcoming test. Prasanna emphasized that they can enter their CET options after examination concludes on Monday. He noted that the seat matrix for courses in Agriculture,Veterinary Science, and BSc Nursing has already been made available. However,the final seat matrix for engineering courses is still pending, with only a draft version released so far. Once the final details are ready,they will be uploaded to the KEA website .

To assist candidates,the KEA has provided a tutorial video on its website,guiding students on how to enter their course and college preferences . Notably,this year there will be no pre-round counselling. The decision to eliminate this step aims to streamline the admission process for non-medical courses,particularly in light of the NEET re-examination. As a result,the counselling will commence directly with the first round of seat allotment,mirroring previous years' procedures.
